Wow... I missed this thread last night. (Fell alseep early)
I think that everyone needs to take a deep breath first of all.
Second of all, Aurora is a new product that's been on the market for 36 hours now.
Every install of XP is differnt, most PCs all have differnt hardware. It's hard to write something that works across every install/hardware set/user setup. Give them a chance, alright?
The problem with Vista 64, isn't that Aurora is a bad product, it's that it's a 32 bit product, for a 32 bit platform. I'll bet that it doesn't work on the Mac either. Vista 64 does add a lot of hardware options and is a fully 64 bit OS, but there is very little software out there that will be happy to run on it. That's why until the software that we use is stable in 64bit, we're staying in 32 bit land. Now, is there an option for some sort of compatibility more for 32bit applications? I don't really know, as I don't have Vista 64.

I am able to get the sequencer going, but my problem is with scheduler. It opens fine but when I try to do anything I get an error
339: component mscomct2.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered a file is missing or invalid. aurora scheduler.newschedule.0
Then shuts down...
I am running Windows xp media center pentium 4 with 1 GB ram I am not a computer expert so I am sure I am just missing something simple. but I have tried the steps listed before, and still cant get going....
any suggestions.

you have been using Aurora for 3 years?
I didn't mean it in a bad way, but after reading it I can see how it could have been easily taken that way. I meant more "New" to Aurora the application. These problems that you are having are 1 off's. When the smart cats on the east coast wake up and have a cup of coffee they will solve them quickly.

you are new, I was too couple years ago. These are very small companies, we are a very small niche market that only a few companies even deal with. I know the microsofts and cisco the autosending is no problem. Reminds me of power windows??? Remember that used to be one heck of an option to add to a car. but then it became just a common feature...................Now it is expected!!!
We are the proud, the very few, thinking of our christmas lights in September!
All will be right in the morning give it a chance.

your guys bugs are easily fixed, but I don't have the answer handy. Trust me, the program is not as buggy as you are seeing. I think there is a quick fix for both of you. I just upgraded from .1 all the way to 1.0 and the only problem wa I didn't reboot.
These guys live on the east coast and will be back on early in the morning and I know they will have you up and running
Hang in there,

I JUST PURCHASED YOUR SOFTWARE TODAY, LOADED IT UP AND GOT IT GOING THEN BOOM THE DAM THINGS SHUTS DOWN. SO I LOAD IT AGAIN AND BOOM SAME THING. I DO IT A THIRD TIME AND IT FINALLY WORKS SO I UP LOAD A SONG AND A PIC AND THE PICTURE IS PULLED OUT OF SHAPE AND THE WAVE FORMS ARE SO HARD TO SEE YOU WOULD BE BETTER OF NOT TO EVEN HAVE IT. I START TO ADD CONTROLLERS ONE BY ONE (I HAVE 64 CHANNELS) AND THEN BOOM THE SYSTEM CRASHES AGAIN. I RESTART THE COMPUTER AND OPEN IT UP AND TRY TO IMPORT A D- LIGHT FILE LIKE YOU SAY IT CAN DO AND IT ONLY PULLS IN THE FIRST 16 CHANNELS. I GO TO PLAY IT AND IT CRASHES AGAIN. THIS TIME I TRIED TO CHANGE THE SETTING ON THE COMPATABILITY TO XP SERV PACK 2 AND RUN IT AND STILL HAD SOME HICK UPS. NOT TO IMPRESSED AT ALL I'LL HANG ON FOR A WEEK OR SO TO TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW NOT TO HAPPY WITH IT AT ALL!!!! |
