I have my sequence and I have run the hardware utility on my ACx16. But when I close the utility, the light on the controller starts blinking again and Aurora does not seem to see the controller as nothing happens when I play the sequence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is Aurora configured for the proper COM port, and Network #?
Is the sequence configured to play to a valid controller ID?

I have it configured to com5 and network 1. Testing it through the Hardware Utility it works fine so the hook up to the computer is good. Each channel is configured to network 1, controller 3 (which is the assigned controller number I used). should the light be bliking when I access Aurora?

Correct, the ACx16 "heart beat" blinks when communication isn't present. To send commands out, click on the light bulb icon. Aurora won't automatically connect to the controller when it is opened. When the light bulb is red, your commands will be sent out.

Jonathan, it works!!! thanks so much. I really appreciate the help. Being a newbie and without an instruction manual it's a little difficult to figure some of this out.

Video tutorial by Flanigan: http://www.d-light.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=1122 - Part one , and http://www.d-light.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=1123 - part two . A little bit dated now that there's been a few additions to Aurora, but it will get you started.
A manual is in the works, but despite the "week or two" message that's been there for months, I doubt it will be ready anytime soon as there are more pressing issues to tend to. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask here. We're always more than willing to offer a hand.
