Okay, here's where I'm running into problems once I get more into the details of working with the animations.

Let's say that you have a two second interval (or you could say within a certain number of beats).  In this two second interval you have a mega tree that is in 8 sections of two second interval and you also have a light arch in this same two second interval but the arch has 9 sections to it.

How do you do this where it is easy to work with?

It's easy to create the event lines for the first object (mega tree).  Simply split the two second interval into 8 sections.  Set the appropriate light settings and done.  However, when splitting the two second interval again into 9 sections, it looks like a tornado went through it.  Unfortunately (as far as I can tell and I think from what I read quite some time ago), there is really no good way to create/erase event times for just a channel(s).

How does everyone deal with this?  The only way I could do it cleanly was to find an untouch area in my sequence, create the arch in that area and then move it to where I want it with the other object(s).

The problem with that solution is when you get closer to the end of the song, there is no clean area to work with to move/paste it.

Are there any other work arounds or am I missing something?  Thank you for any advice.

I deal with the mess, just zoom in closer...
There's a little bird flying around that's chirping about "groupings" though that should take care of this (for next year).

Fine. You're so smart you rig up the lights.

That's what I thought someone would say.  Okay, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something.  I'll continue the way that I'm doing it and hopefully we can get some groupings for next year.  Thank you.
