It's done... MAW HA HA HA HA. Finnaly! 12 hours I think...
Of course I only put stuff on three controllers, I need to go back and add something to the 4th controller.
I can't imigine sequencing over 200 channels!

If you want to be tacky, just place event markers at the start and end of the sequence; then use the W2E tool to fill the whole thing!

Waitng for someone to slap up a vieo of 64 channels of w2e on different notes. Nope, I'm trying to do each intrement, and each note independantly. I'll just need to expand it once I get into the swing better. Then there's always Firefly... THAT'S going to be a pair to not only sequence pixels, but colors!
HA! At least you could do purple for Barey, green for the sis?, and orange for the other kid.
I've doing sugar plum now, then I'm doing TSO - Christmas Cannon.
I do have a little trick I'm going to do though... I fired up Audacity, slapped in some static, and some clicks, ticks, and tones to smake some ugly broken sounding thing. I'll sequence something that looks like everything's shorting out. Then I'll go into something real. That'll get Tara's attention.------------- Fine. Did something like that last Christmas with the THX Robot audio. Lights would flicker, a strobe would fire and all the lights would douse. Then as the THX sound came back up all the lights would fade up and would randomly twinkle.

Now THAT is really pathetic!  You know you have kids when.... You can name the main characters of at least three PBS/Noggin morning shows (or three Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network/Toon Disney afternoon shows). Or maybe it's more pathetic that I can differentiate between the kid networks AND tell you what time each age group's programming is on......and what cool stuff is on each of their web sites. We've been cutting out the afternoon TV watching since school started, so I haven't seen these two shows. But a quick YouTube search revealed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWeMplqo-bk - this . Total Drama Island (the third intro in the clip) looks similar to the Danny Phantom/Fairly Odd Parents genre, but much more dorky and with less redeeming value. But then again, if you hung out with my almost nine-year-old son and his friends, you would hear a lot of dorky things coming from their mouths too, so these shows are just playing to their audiences tastes. Now....if any of these comes out with a Christmas episode, then we'd have some great sequences for the kiddies! The W2E defaults are not the best for most tasks. Once we are caught up with the bug list and have the next version out I'll spend a bit more time explaining the advanced options (right now only an audio engineer can fully appreciate them) and will make some recommendations for specific music selections. ------------- http://www.aurorashow.com/">

I've been wrapping my ears around the settings, and I've been able to focus on bass or vocals with a little trial-and-error. The problem is that I do most of my sequencing at night, and the piano is in the other room (sleeping wife/children  ). With frequencies I'm fairly accurate, but I need to tap on a piano/keyboard for musical notes to make much spectral sense to me. I do like the spectrogram, but I'm a bit too colorblind to fully take advantage of it as yet. I just realized that the chart really is interactive--as you mouse over the graphic, additional information pops up. Very cool.
