Well it took 20 plus hours to put up 12000 light but takes less than 4 to take it down.

It wasn't an easy task especially when there is over a foot and a half of snow on the ground mixed with ice crust. Thank god my wife helped me. She's very patient to me being very impatient.

As we took the stuff down we were already planning for this year (being 2010 alreadyWink)

Do you guys have a sad feeling when taking down your display? I know we do. It looks pretty bare now that everything is down. As I am typing this post, there is only 323 days before it all goes back up again!

To all of those that have helped me in the past year, many thanks. To all of those that offer tips through their mishaps, many thanks ass well. Hope 2010 brings you all health and happiness. Here's to a fun light filled year!Clap

I get this numb feeling during teardown. Then again, it may just be frostbite settling in!LOL

Going to start teardown tomorrow after getting some video shot of it tonight now that traffic is almost a non-issue.

Now to start planning/sequencing the Independence Day show!! Only six months away, ya know.

And the last thing I want to hear from people is that "I have way to much time in my hands"Angry

What we do with our time is just that: OURS!

Like you said, time flies pretty quick. We always have a new sequence to tweak or improve so time is a waiting!

Feels weird to look outside in the snowstorm that we are going through right now and not seeing any flickering lights, ramping up or down and also, no cars appreciating what I built. Oh well, it's just a few months away!Thumbs%20Up

20 hours?  It took me 20 days (a few hours here and there especially on weekends) to get the display up!  Since just about no one was watching it last night I turned it off a bit early and then felt bad when a car I didn't see there drove off a minute later.

I just hate coming home and seeing the house look all bare.  It takes a while to get used to it again.

I was actually happy to take everything down - ready for normalcy again.  :)  But I'm also looking fwd to next year.

Display comes down tomorrow here (yes, during vacation).  With late family gatherings, lift rental, etc. it was just easier to run it through the weekend and tear down on Monday.  Back to vacation now...
